The Syndicate. Playing Skiffle Music way back then. First Gig was The Three Fishes In Kingston Surrey and played Move It that night. Renamed to Park Lane in 1976. Renamed The Raiders in 1978. (Also known as 'SOUNDS OF THE SHADOWS).
As The Raiders: Winners of the Rock 'N' Roll Appreciation Society Gold Award in 1991-92 also the years 1993-94-95-96-97 also 1999-2000 The Rapiers picked up some awards too.
The Raiders have recorded no less than 17 CD's in their own right. With a further 34 CD's of famous backing tracks.
The Raiders had great pleasure in being the official backing group of Twinkle (who had hits in the 60's with "TERRY" and others.
The Raiders have toured Europe in their own right, also backing various famous artistes. Have headlined many Butlin's Shows ahead of artistes such as Craig Douglas - Chas McDevit etc.,

Members of The Raiders now perform in different groups and shows. Also session work in recording studios. Many Karaoke tracks on sale today were played by The Raiders.
